Nature Watch Online Session

Green Health and Access West Wales is a project in Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire exploring innovative opportunities for green health, supporting existing initiatives and looking at ways to improve woodland spaces for access to people of all abilities.
This project is currently on hold while we look for further funding.
Improving access to green space and nature-based health services is becoming a mainstream debate. There are widely recognised health and wellbeing benefits to time spent outdoors, including a decrease in stress and depressive tendencies. As a result, the health sector is increasingly using preventative and non-medicalised care, through social prescribing and social forestry.
Coed Lleol, with funding from the Enabling Natural Resources and Wellbeing Scheme, have consulted with local practitioners to enable us to make a case for funding Green Infrastructure improvements to specific woodlands in the Hywel Dda counties. You can read our report, here.
