Coed Lleol (Small Woods Wales) runs woodland health and wellbeing activity groups in Gwynedd as part of our Actif Woods Wales programme. Discover how woodlands can help breathe new life into your soul, while learning to care for the environment. 

What happens at Acitf Woods Gwynedd? 


 Our sessions are designed to offer participants the opportunity to learn new skills, gain confidence, provide a friendly environment and opportunity to make friends, spend time outdoors and protect the natural environment. 

Each session can consist of multiple woodland activities, such as:

  • Campfire cooking and foraging
  • Woodland walks
  • Conservation activities
  • Woodland crafts
  • Green gym
  • Survival skills
  • Mindfulness
  • Forest bathing
  • and much more!

Why should I join?


Spending time in woodlands has been proven to lower heart rate and blood pressure, reduce stress hormone production, boost the immune system, and improve overall feelings of wellbeing. Find out more about the benefits of woodlands for health and wellbeing on our Social Forestry for Participants page. 

How can I get involved?


During Covid-19, we've been working online to help people connect to nature and woodlands at home and in their local area (click here to find out how we can support you). We're working on getting back to the woods safely as soon as possible. Check back here and on our Facebook page for updates.
